Your safari starts in the morning with a scenic drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive across this diverse landscape of forest, wetlands, and open plains. Keep watch for elephants, hippos, buffalo, baboons, and the famous tree-climbing lions, while bird lovers can marvel at flamingos and over 380 bird species. After a relaxing picnic lunch inside the park, continue on to Karatu for an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge, where you’ll unwind over dinner and reflect on your day’s adventure.
After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the massive Ngorongoro Crater — a 304 km² caldera formed millions of years ago, now home to over 25,000 large mammals. Explore its varied habitats, from forested slopes to open savannah and soda lakes, spotting lions, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, and hundreds of bird species. After a memorable morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch on the crater floor, begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving at your hotel around 17:00 hrs. End of our services.
