The Great Wildebeest Migration

Nature’s Greatest Show
Every year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, move in a breathtaking circular journey across the Serengeti ecosystem. This is the Great Migration—Africa’s most dramatic and dynamic wildlife event.
From the calving season in Ndutu (Jan–Mar), where newborns draw in predators, to the grueling Mara River crossings (Jul–Oct), where crocodiles lurk and survival instincts peak—every stage of the migration is raw, real, and unforgettable.
Best spots:

Ndutu (Southern Serengeti) – January to March (calving)
Western Corridor – May to June
Kogatende (Northern Serengeti) – July to October (river crossings)
