Day trip – Arusha National Park
07:00hrs: Depart from your hotel in Arusha City Centre and embark on a scenic drive to Arusha National Park. Game drive in the park with a picnic lunch.
Arusha National Park (137 km²) boasts a diverse landscape that ranges from open savannah and acacia scrublands to lush Afro-montane cloud forests and Afro-alpine vegetation, which resemble the environment of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is home to several alkaline lakes and the stunning Ngurdoto Crater. Its rich wildlife includes elephants, buffalo, a variety of primates, giraffes, and even leopards.
Hiking within the park is permitted when accompanied by an armed ranger, and the ascent of Mount Meru offers an extraordinary experience. Standing at 4,566 meters, Mount Meru is Africa’s fifth-highest peak and is located within Arusha National Park.
Late afternoon: Return to Arusha, arriving at your hotel around 17:00hrs.
